Build interior door jamb
-check
wood stock material ensure it is straight use jointer to straighten if
necessary
-rip
stock to proper thickness about 1
mm larger than wall thickness allow enough
material to use jointer to smooth saw cut
-any
bow should be towards rough frame
-lay
out and rabbet the sides to receive the head jamb about 6 mm deep
-select
door to be hung
cut
side jambs length equal to door with 2 mm for above door plus thickness
of finished floor plus 25 for clearance under door measure head jamb
same width as door plus 2 mm
clearance for each side plus 6 mm
rabbet for side jambs each side
-sand exposed pieces do not sand edges to go in
rabbet

sides and head together

a temporary brace across bottom

material for door stop cut to length
-check
rough opening ensure plumb and square
-set
assembled door jamb into place wedge at head to hold temporarily

head for level shim bottom of side jamb to level

measure shimmed distance take jamb out and cut shimmed distance off of
opposite side jamb
-reinstall centre head
jamb, plumb, level, straight, square, use wedges from opposite sides of
jamb, nail the wedges leave nail heads exposed in case adjustment is
needed
