in floor electric heat

I hammer drilled spacing strips to floor and ran electrical heating wire as per above... I found that these strips  set up fairly high...when I laid out my tiles it was apparent that I would need  a very thick thinset coat to prevent tile rocking...so I used a thin layer of Mapei  self leveling compound over the wires to hold them in place... then I removed the strips and screws this gave me a leveler surface to which I applied the thinset and tiles... the results were good
